Empties: July

It's come round to that time where I share my trash with you. Now I know a lot of you probably don't want to see what I've used up or care if I'll repurchase. But I do know a lot of you are just as nosy as I am and love seeing what beauty products people have used up.

Let's kick things off with under eye patches. And as you can see I used a lot of them. I love a good under eye patch for depuffing, hydrating, smoothing and reducing the appearence of my dark circles. And yes that is multiples of each set that I have used. My most used are the Primark Sunflower Under Eye Patches and the Soap and Glory Puffy Eye Attack Under Eye Gels. They're inexpensive and work well for me so I don't mind going through several packs (see five) reguarly. Patches such as the Rodial Dragon's Blood Under Eye Patches and the Skyn Iceland Eye Firming Gels are a little more pricey so I limit myself to how many I use. That being said I still managed to get through several packs of each because they are my absolute favourites even if they do make me wince when I repurchase them.

Another thing I clearly use in large quantities is sheet masks, so let's get them out of the way next. I'll start with another ode of love to the Garnier Moisture Bomb Tissue Masks. My favourite is the Lavender De-Tiring Masks but I am partial to the others in the range if I feel my skin needs it. And I also recently tried out the new Ultralift Tissue Mask. It was okay, I wasn't bowled away by it but it wasn't terrible by any means. I think I will be sticking to my Moisture Bomb Masks in the future though.

Three other sheet masks I used up were the Simple Water Boost Hydrating Tissue Mask, the PS Hydro Gel Mask and the Nip and Fab Glycolic Fix Extreme Bubble Mask. I used up a couple of the Simple masks on the days when my skin needed hydrating but not a deep burst of hydration like you get from the Moisture Bomb masks. The PS Hydrogel Mask was okay but it didn't work wonders or blow me away. For it's price point, it's good option but I'd personally pay the extra for the likes of the Garnier or the Simple. And finally the Nip and Fab is forever a favourite but because it's slightly pricier than the others I limit myself to one every now and again. This has to be one of the most fun masks I've ever used. It makes you sound like a bowl of rice kripsies whilst you look the abominable snowman. Now if that isn't reason to use this mask, I don't know what is.

And finally on the sheet mask front I used up a couple from Soap And Glory. The Pore Refining Mask and the Miracle Moisture Mask have to be my favourites from my range. They both adhere nicely to the skin, don't drip or slide about and leave behind visible results that last longer than the half an hour other masks results last. I particuarly like the Pore Refining Mask for when my skin is more hormonal and always make sure to keep a stock of them ready for Mother Nature's visit.

Whilst we're on the subject of masks, I used up two samples of wash off face masks and was highly impressed by both. The first was the Body Shop Himalayan Charcoal Mask and the second was the Origins Clear Improvement Mask. Both worked wonders for deep cleansing and purifying my skin, making sure no shit was left lingering in my pores. Sure I got a couple of breakouts afterwards but I never mind because my skin always looks so clear once they've gone. They're not the cheapest deep cleansing charcoal based face mask on the market but I'd happily buy both in full size, seeing how well they worked for my skin.

It wouldn't be an empties post if I didn't have at least one bottle of my Clean And Clear Deep Cleansing Lotion in there. You all know the drill with this by now. It's my morning cleanser, has been for the last twelve years, never breaks me out or dries out my skin and really works to wake my skin up in the morning. Again countless bottles will feature in the future as until they release a product as good as this, I'll only exclusively reach for this in the mornings.

I finally finished a bottle of my Nip and Fab 6% Glycolic Fix Extreme Liquid Glow. This is my holy grail evening toner. It's 6% glycolic acid formula works to really deep clean and retexturise skin, revealing skin's glow as well as promoting heathly cell turnover. I thought I'd go through this bottle quickly but a little really goes a long way, something I'm happy about with it's near on twenty quid price tag. However I'd happily pay that and more for the way it's changed how my skin both looks and feels.

Talking of Nip and Fab, I finished two sets of their pre soaked pads. The first set I finished was the Dragon's Blood Fix Cleansing Pads and the second was the Glycolic Fix Pre Soaked Pads. To be honest I've gone off these pads since the 6% was released so I ended up using them daily just to finish them and get them out of my collection. There is nothing wrong with these pads but they just don't work with my skin anymore. I think it's become used to higher concentrations of AHA's so these were barely doing anything. However if you don't think your skin could handle a high percentage of AHA then I recommend checking them. I won't be buying them again though.

I finished not one but three different facial spritzes. The first was another bottle of my Botanics Refreshing Facial Spritz with Rosewater. I've gone through multiple bottles of this, it's one of my favourites and I'm sure you'll see more bottles in the future. The second is the B Hyaluronic Facial Spritz. Again you've seen this in empties posts before and will probably see more in the future. It's light, it's hydrating and can easily be used over make up, a brilliant factor during this heatwave the UK is enduring. And the last is the B Vitamin Facial Spritz. This is a great dupe for the Pixi Vitamin Mist, works wonders to refresh and rehydrate skin as well as working over make up to give skin that lit from within glow. I love it that much I've almost finished my second bottle already.

Two serums I finished won't come as a surprise to any of you. The first is the Loreal Hydra Genius Aloe Water. I've gone through countless bottles of this and still haven't grown bored of it. It's like a splash of water on the skin that lasts all day long and doesn't let skin loose it's plump, hydrated look. And the second is the Simply Pure Hydrating Night Serum. Again I've gone through a few of these now but it just does exactly what I want it to and I would be silly to use a different product that doesn't give the same results.

I finished another pot of my Garnier Moisture Bomb Glow Enhancer Cream. This again has been featured before, I'm halfway through another pot and I'll continue to feature it in empties in the future. It's my go to, everyday day cream, it's really light and hydrating and works perfectly under SPF or make up.

Again another product you've seen repeatedly is the Garnier Miracle Sleeping Cream. I adore this stuff. It's bouncy/bounce back gel like formula really works over night to reduce any appearence of fatigue and leaves skin looking hydrated and refreshed, whilst soft and smooth to the touch.

I finished another pot of my Olay Total Effect Eye Cream. I don't usually stick to an eye cream for long and I'm starting to think that maybe it's time to try a new one. It doesn't seem to do as much for my under eye area as it used to. If any of you have recommendations for a good eye cream, leave them in the comments, I really don't know what other ones I can try.

SPF is a big part of my skincare routine but whilst it's been extra hot over here in the UK, I've been extra diligent about it. So I've gone through another Hawaiian Tropic Air Soft Face SPF30 and am already halfway through another. This is lightweight enough to be layered under make up but doesn't clog pores or weigh skin down. It's oil free and fragrance free making it suitable for all skin types.

I am a strong believer of not using wipes on your face but I do manage to go through quite a lot of wipes and my favourite are the Garnier Micellar Oil Infushed Wipes. These are my go to's for when I need to remove any lipstick of any kind, especially the long lasting liquid lipsticks that other wipes don't touch. These don't break me out, don't leave a horrible oily residue around my mouth and are the only wipes I trust for removing lipstick or lip swatches.

I have a few make up empties this time around including empties of my two go to everyday primers. I'm not going to go into too much detail as you've seen them featured before. The Barry M Hydro Fix Primer Water and the Maybelline SuperStay Primer are the best primer duo I've ever used and I've gone through countless bottles of both. Usually there are more of each but due to the heatwave I've been wearing make up less often, so I haven't gone through as many.

I finished two base products since my last empties, the first being the Rosie For Autograph Sheer Finish Complexion Enhancer and the second the Make Up Revolution Conceal and Define Concealer. The Rosie For Autograph is my go to light coverage, barely there base product on those days when I want a little something but not a full medium coverage foundation. It's a stunning base that really lets skin look like skin whilst giving it a healthy lit from within glow. The Conceal And Define however is a lot more coverage and feels heavier on the skin. It's perfect for covering blemishes and brightening the under eye area, however I would only advise wearing it when your wearing a heavier coverage foundation as it takes away from the no make up, make up look that lighter bases give.

I've actually finished a mascara. That is unheard of from me. The Maybelline Total Temptation Mascara has been one of my go to mascaras since it's release earlier this year. It's natural bristle brush and coconut oil enriched formula have really worked to give my lashes volume, length and definition whilst leaving them conditioned and stronger. I've already got another tube of this open and I can gurantee you'll be seeing more of these in empties in the future.

I was lucky to recieve a sample pack of the Body Shop's newly release Body Yoghurts. I've used two of the three and I absolutely love them. They're lightweight yet ultra hydrating, they sink into skin immediately and smell absolutely divine. Out of the two I'd probably buy the British Rose in full size but I'd also love to try the Coconut Body Yoghurt if they ever have it in stock.

And last but not least I finished two bottles of perfume. Again this is unheard of for me as I have tons of bottles of perfume and never stay loyal to one but somehow I've managed to finish two. The first is the Christina Aguilera By Night scent. I used to wear this years ago and found a little bit left in a bottle tucked in dark corner of my wardrobe. It still smelt okay so I just kept wearing it whenever I went to work. It's musky but feminine and has a slightly sexy edge to it that boosts my self confidence whenever I wear it. The second is an all time favourite of mine and I've gone through many a bottle. The Rosie For Autograph Nuit is again that musky, deeper scent that is suited more for the evening wear but boosts my self confidence whenever I wear it. I love it that much I'm already halfway through my next bottle.

Empties: April

It's that time again. It's time I share my rubbish with strangers on the Internet. Totally normal, right? Empties are my favourite kind of types of post to read and videos to watch so my own empties post is for those like me who like to have a nosy at what people have used up or are getting rid of because they didn't like it.

I've got several bath products to share this time starting with this Soap and Glory Sugar Crush Body Scrub. This is my all time favourite body scrub because it never lets me down. I've tried countless others but none of them have worked as well as this one. I go through countless pots of this but never keep them all to share in these posts because my Empites bin would be full just from them. It's scratchy enough to exfoliate where I need it to but it's not too harsh or irritating. Plus it smells absolutely divine and fills the whole bathroom with its scent, even after you've finished using it.

The next bath product I remembered to keep is this shower gel from Radox. It's not exactly my ride or die shower gel but I do love it enough to repurchase it which is rare for me with shower gel. I usually just go for those that are on offer. This however not only smells divine, leaves skin feeling clean but has s technology throughout that keeps the scent around for twelve hours which can be activated by touch. And it works, normally most shower gels don't linger on the skin scent wise but this actually does what it claims and leaves behind the most gorgeous scent that can last all day.

And the last bath product I have to share is the Lush ButterBear Bath Bomb. I really need to go to Lush and stock up on bath bombs as this was the last in my basket. ButterBear is a classic, containing Cocoa Butter and Shea Butter, this leaves a nourishing film over the bath water which works to look after skin, even after you've gotten out of the bath. I love the smell of these as well, it just relaxes me and even though you can't get them in bear form at the moment, I'll definitely be stocking up on the ButterBall Bath Bomb when I'm in Lush next.

Onto skincare and the majority of them you've all seen in Empties before. So let's get the ball rolling with my go to morning cleanser. The Clean and Clear Sensitive Cleansing Lotion has been my go to morning cleanser since I was a teenager. It's lightweight, doesn't irritate my skin and keeps skin feeling refreshed and awake but also clear of blemishes or any pore clogging bacteria. I go through more bottles of this than anything throughout the year and as you all know I have many on back up, so I won't bore you anymore and move onto the next empty.

Another duo of products you're used to seeing in these posts come from Liz Earle. I always have their award winning Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser in my collection as well as their Instant Skin Boost Tonic Spritzer. They are staples in my collection and since discovering them a couple of years ago I've gone through many a bottle. There's not a lot to say about them, they don't irritate my occasionally sensitive skin, soothe it if it is irritated and generally help it look clearer and softer to the touch. I need to pick up another Cleanse and Polish but already am halfway through another Instant Skin Boost.

I finished another bottle of my Loreal Hydra Genius Serum/Moisturiser. Again one you're probably all familiar with as its a firm staple in my skincare routine. My only bug bear with this product is that the tube inside doesn't quite reach the bottom so you're always left with a bit of product you can't get out. However it's a small price to pay when a product works so wonderfully with my skin.

And to follow my Hydra Genius is an empty of my everyday moisturiser. Again you've seen the Garnier Moisture Bomb Glow Enhancer Moisturiser before so you know why I love it. It works so wonderfully under make up aswell as on its own and just leaves skin looking gorgeous, glowing and hydrated. Is little pot doesn't look like much but it lasts a surprisingly long time. Yet another product I always have a back up of a back up of in my collection.

A night serum I finished comes from Superdrug's Own Brand Simply Pure. Their Hydrating Night Serum is a richer version of their original Hydrating Serum, making it perfect for after make up removal of as a hydrating night moisturiser. Containing nothing more than Hyaluronic Acid and Allantoin, this is perfect for those with more sensitive/reactive skins. It can be worn on its own or layered under a thicker moisturiser without the worry of being too heavy or pilling. I love it that much, I've nearly finished my second bottle already.

I finished a pot of my holy grail night moisturiser from Garnier. I'm still raving about the Miracle Sleeping Cream even though it's been two maybe even three years since I started using it. Thick but not heavy, this cream works as you sleep to remove the signs of fatigue, meaning you'll wake up with hydrated, fresh looking skin even if you haven't had your full eight hours sleep. I go through numerous pots of these a year and until the market release a cream that can outdo it, I'll go through numerous more.

I went through another bottle of the Hawaiian Tropic SPF30 Face.  This is my everyday Facial SPF and it never lets me down. Lightweight, non irritating and perfect for layering under make up, this makes sure my face is protected and Casper like without weighing it down with oil or a thick heavy cream that'll most likely break me out. A little goes a long way so a bottle lasts me an age but I'll still be stock piling for Summer in case we get another heatwave and it becomes hard to find.

Again another product you're used to seeing pop up in empties posts in my go to Carmex Lip Balm. Recently I tried a couple of different balms but they really didn't agree with my lips so I've gone back to Carmex. A lot of people say it's too astringent and irritating on the lips but I find it's the only thing to soothe and moisturise my lips when they feel dry and chapped.

Onto make up and this time round there are couple of extra products that I've finally managed to finish up. The first though should be no surprise as its part of my everyday primer duo. The Barry M Hydro Fix Primer Water is extremely lightweight and hydrating and adheres make up to the skin no problem. I go through a lot of these so I'm pretty sure none of you are surprised to see it here. And to go with that.

I have not one but two bottles of the Maybelline SuperStay Primer, the second half of my go to primer duo. This is lightweight, gives skin a perfected look and leaves behind a tackiness that helps make up last longer on the skin. I seem to go through more of these than I do the Barry M but I'm not going to complain as the two together are like a dream team that never let me down. I'm already halfway through another bottle of this and have a back up in my collection.

I finished a bottle of foundation. It's pretty much unheard of me ever finishing a foundation but I've finished one and have a near empty one that I'll finish when I do my make up next. The Loreal Total Cover Foundation is my go to foundation when I want my skin to look flawless for a long time. A lightweight gel like texture, this has the fullest coverage I've ever worn. Yet it still lets skin breathe and feel like skin. I've worn this for a good twelve hours and it hasn't budged, just needed a little bit of powder for my t-zone. I already have another of these ready for any nights out or events when I need a bit more coverage and lasting power.

I finished a Maybelline Eraser Eye Concealer. And as you eagle eyed readers may notice, there is only one in this post where normally there are two or three. That's because I've discovered two other concealers that work even better with my skin so this one has just fallen to the side. I still like this for mixing with a lighter concealer to give a highlighted look under the eye but I don't reach for it as much as I used to.

I finished two different powders. The first comes from MUA and whilst I loved the finish it gave, I didn't like going through as many as four compacts every two months. So I won't be repurchasing that again as it just didn't last as well as I expected. The second is from Barry M and is another I won't be repurchasing. Sure it gave a nice finish and didn't leave a white cast but I ended up wasting product as I just couldn't get the very last bits out. No amount of shaking, tapping or coaxing would do it. I do have another one of these on the go but after I've finished it, I won't be repurchasing again unless I can't find another decent inexpensive loose powder.

I finally finished/replaced my tube of Benefit's They're Real Tinted Lash Primer. This is my favourite lash primer not only because it gives my lashes a boost but because you can wear it on its own if you just want to give lashes a bit of definition. I have another miniature on the go but will definitely be investing in a full sized tube when that one runs out.

Another thing that is unheard of is me finishing a lip liner or a lip product in general. But here we are and I've finished this Maybelline Color Sensational Lip Liner. Now I'm not sure if I finished completely by wearing it as much as I did or if I finished it earlier than expected because it was broken inside. However I did like this lip liner, it was pigmented, creamy and didn't drag or scratch the lip. I'd probably buy this again but not anytime soon as I have a surplus amount of red lip liners that I need to get through.

All that's left for me to share with you now is the copious amount of face wipes and sheet masks I've used. Let's start with face wipes as it's the lesser of two evils. Now I don't use face wipes to take off my make up but I do use the, to remove my lipstick or any swatches I may have done. I'm surprisingly picky about which face wipes I use but recently I've just been grabbing the first ones that I've seen on offer. The first pack is the Loreal Fine Flowers Facial Wipes. They were nice but didn't wow me, so unless I'm in a bind, I won't be repurchasing these again. The same can be said for the B Pure Sensitive Micellar Wipes. They were nice, removed what I wanted them to remove but didn't really blow me away. The Garnier Extra Gentle Micellar Wipes on the other hand are pretty much holy grail for me. They don't scratch the skin, have enough product on each wipe and remove make up without too much rubbing or irritation. I go between these and Oil Infused wipes and always make sure to stock up when they're on offer. Expect to see a lot more of these in future posts.

Onto under eye patches and as you can see, I've gone through a few. I love these for days when my eyes feel generally like crap or after a bit of a late night. All of these I've used before and will happily repurchase them all when I'm shopping next. However if I were to choose one as a stand out patch, it would have to be the Rodial Dragon's Blood Patches. They just work like magic at depuffing, Hydrating, soothing and reducing the appearance of dark circles. Pricey but well worth it. I seriously need to buy the multipack instead of spending more buying the individual packs.

The Garnier Moisture Bomb Tissue Masks are some of my favourites so you shouldn't be surprised to see so many of these in this post. I used to love the Chamomile masks the most but have lately found that the De-Tiring Masks with Lavender have the most visible results. I have numerous back ups of these and you can always count on a minimum of four in every empties post.

Two other masks from Garnier that I've used up are their new Pure Charcoal Sheet Masks. These were nice but didn't wow me as much as I expected. I think it's all because they weren't what my skin needed when I used them. If you have combination or oily skin then these will be perfect for you. I may repurchase in the future if my skin needs it but it's highly unlikely.

Another two sheet masks I used for the sake of using up and that didn't wow that much were these two. The first is the Bubble Purifying Sheet Mask from Skin Republic. It felt alright on the face and looked fun to wear but left behind a sticky residue that didn't do anything for my skin, except leaving it feeling uncomfortable. The second is this Avocado Sheet Mask from Oh K! I'm not sure what this was supposed to do for my skin and the results said the same as well. Apart from cooling my skin, this didn't feel as if it did anything major. I won't be repurchasing either of these, purely because I've tried similar masks from other brands and preferred those a lot more.

A mask I liked and used two of comes from Simple. Their newly released Water Boost Hydrating Sheet Mask has wowed me a lot more than other newly released sheet masks. Packed full of skin loving ingredients (they're words not mine), this mask acts like a deep hydration for skin and is perfect for those with dry/dehydrated skin. What I don't like is the £3.49 price tag for something that would sell so much better at a lower price.

And finally we have two of the Soap And Glory Sheet Masks. Now these cost the same as the Simple but I don't mind paying that much for each one purely because they actually have an ingredients key that doesn't just say vitamins and minerals. And one of these has be reformulated and is better than when I first tried it. That mask is the Radiance Boosting Mask. Before it was a very hard cardboard like mask that didn't fit the face at all but when I tried it this time round, it was thinner, more cellulose in texture and fit the face lovely. The other mask I used is their Pore Refining Mask. I like to always have one or two of these in my collection for when Aunt Flo pays a visit and I find my skin becoming more porous and oily in look and feel. Both of these are on my to buy shopping list and will no doubt be featured in future empties posts.

Product Empties: January

Welcome to my first empties of the year. And unsurprisingly there is a ton of empties, a lot of them you've seen before and a few you've not seen before.

Let's start with cleansers. There are only a couple of in this empties as I have tons on the go at once. The first is the The Body Shop Camomile Cleansing Balm. This is a very gentle cleansing balm that melts make up off easily and doesn't irritate skin. It too me a while to finish this so I'd probably repurchase it for longevity but based off the product alone, I think I've got other balms that work just as well.

The other cleanser I have finished is the Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm. Since my last empties I've gone through two of travel sized pots and am working my way through my first of three 50ml tubs. I love this cleanser so much. It's thick, nourishing and works so well with my skin. I occasionally use this to take my make up off and it melts it off effortlessly but most of the time I use it on my bare skin. It's so nourishing and hydrating, especially after a long day of wearing make up. A little goes a long way so these pots lasted me a pretty long time and I'd happily repurchase any size tub when I no longer have any.

I went through another bottle of my holy grail Clean And Clear Deep Cleansing Lotion. I use this every morning to cleanse my skin and give it a refresh. I've gone through countless bottles of this in the last twelve years and whilst I've been told to stop using it, I haven't because I'm such a huge fan of it. I'm already half way through another bottle and have a back up in place as well.

I went through another bottle of the Simple Dual Effect Eye Make Up Remover. This is one of my favourite eye make up removers, it's bio phase formula the only thing that truly removes all of my mascara at the end of the day. I'm currently using the Nivea Duel Effect Eye Make Up Remover and it's not living up to the standard of this one. I think I'm going to have to stock up so I never run out of it.

I went through another travel sized bottle of Pixi Glow Tonic. I find that these smaller bottles last forever which is why until recently I'd never paid out for a full sized bottle. With 5% Glycolic Acid, Aloe Vera and Ginseng, this is my go to toner after make up removal as it exfoliates, rejuvenates and soothes all at the same time. I'm sure you'll be seeing more varying sized bottles of the Glow Tonic in future empties.

Whilst we're on the subject of Glycolic Acid, I finished another tub of the Nip And Fab Glycolic 5% Fix Night Pads. These give an effective yet somewhat gentle exfoliation and helps retexturise skin. I've gone through countless tubs of these and will probably go through countless tubs more. They're great for an every day exfoliation as they don't strip, irritate or sting the skin.

Another bottle of the Liz Earle Instant Boost Skin Tonic Sprizter has bitten the dust. This is my morning facial spritz that soothes, awakens and hydrates skin ready for the ahead. It's lightweight and great for layering under and over make up. I love this and need to buy another as my current bottle is well over halfway used.

I had to give up with this next product. Not because it's terrible but because I just couldn't get the last dregs out. The Botanics All Bright Serum Concentrate is one of several serums I like to apply after I've removed my make up. It has naturally occurring AHA's that lightly exfoliate the skin which reveals skin's natural glow. It's lasted me ages but I had to give up before I finished it completely because it's badly designed packaging. The dropper applicator doesn't reach the bottom of the bottle and once you hit the very last of the serum, not even tilting the bottle gets it out. I have another already in use and will repurchase it again when I've run out even though it's a case of when bad packaging happens to good products.

Another product I never completely finish is the Loreal Hydra Genius. This is my go to serum, it's just literally Aloe Water and Hyaluronic Acid, two ingredients that agree amazingly with my skin. Yet again that tube from the pump doesn't reach the bottom and the last of the product and no amount of tilting or shaking the bottle helps. Sure it's a waste but it's only minor when the product works this well. Definitely going to repurchase this when necessary, it's completely changed my skin.

I finished a pot of my go to day moisturiser from Garnier. The Moisture Bomb Glow Enhancer Moisturiser is lightweight, hydrating and easy to layer under make up. I layer this over the Loreal Hydra Genius to give my skin a massive, long lasting boost of hydration. And because it's a gel like formula it doesn't affect any make up I apply over top. I've already got another pot on the go and will definitely be buying a back up before that one runs out.

I finished yet another pot of my favourite Garnier Miracle Sleeping Cream. There is just something about this night cream that I can't get enough of. It makes me look fresh, revitalised, hydrated and like I've eight hours sleep when I've most likely only had about four. I have gone through quite a few tubs of this in the last couple of years and will continue to do so but right now I'm also trying out two very similar formula products. I'm sure if I like them, they'll be appearing in either a empties or a favourites post in the future.

Now a few of you may be wondering why I have an empty SPF bottle in my January empties but I make sure to wear SPF 30 everyday to protect my skin. The Hawaiian Tropic SPF30 is the only one that hasn't broken me out and actually works with my skin instead of against it. I've got another bottle of this open already and I'll be repurchasing many bottles of this through the year to keep my skin protected no matter the season.

I actually finished an eye cream. That is unheard of for me. I never manage to finish eye creams as they usually stop working for me before I can or I've moved onto the next one that's caught my eye. The Olay Total Effects Eye Cream has not let me down since I started reusing it in September. It moisturises, depuffs, firms and reduces the appearance of dark circles without weighing the gentle skin under the eye down. I've just opened a new one and whilst I'd like to say you'll see it in a future empties, I'm not sure if it'll be this year as a little goes a long way which makes the small pot last a long time.

It wouldn't be an empties post if I didn't have at least one of the Maybelline SuperStay Primers featured. This time I've gone through two since my last empties in October. It seems like a lot but I do wear it everytime I wear make up so it does make sense since that's six days out of seven a week. I love how this sink into my skin but leaves a tackiness to my skin that just adheres to whatever base product I apply over top. And it's lightweight so it doesn't clog my pores and cause any irritation or breakouts. It's not going to be the last time this will be featured in an empties this year.

Surprisingly there is only one Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in my empties bin. Usually there are two sometimes even three but for some reason I haven't gone through them as much as I thought I would. This is a great concealer for covering redness, blemishes and dark circles without looking cakey or heavy on the skin. I'm already nearly done with another tube and have a back up in my collection as well.

Something I did go through two of and found a little surprising was pressed powder. Normally it takes me months to go through a single pan of pressed powder and that's wearing it everytime I wear make up. However between my last empties and today's post, I've gone through two of the MUA Transparent Pressed Setting Powder and nearly finished a third. I love this powder, it doesn't cake skin, settle into any creases or fine lines and sets make up in place all day long. I'm not sure if it's because it's so finely milled that I've gone through two but I have and I'm a little shocked that this was a product I had duplicate empties for.

I finished a bottle of my Barry M Hydro Fix Primer Water. This combined with the Maybelline SuperStay Primer is a winning combination and I've found I can't use another product in place of this or the Maybelline as the remaining product doesn't work as well. I always make sure to have a back up of this in my collection and right now is no exception.

A setting spray that I finished comes from Collection. Their Primed And Ready Fixing Spray is a fine mist that generously sprays the face with it's lightweight formula, setting make up in place with a semi matte finish. It's perfect for everyday use if you've got a little too much glow going on but it's also a brilliant product for holding everything in place when you've got a big event or night out. I've already got one on the go and a back up in my collection.

As always I've gone through a couple of packets of face wipes. I don't use these to take my make up off, I use them to mainly take off any swatches I've done or my lipstick at the end of the day. I usually go for ones aimed at sensitive skin like the Johnsons but I find that the Garnier Oil Infused Micellar Wipes are brilliant at removing liquid lipsticks. Both did what I wanted them to, both didn't cause any irritation like some wipes can and both will probably be repurchased at some point in the future.

I went through a few packs of under eye patches in the last three months. The Rodial, Superdrug and Soap and Glory were all one use packets but the Skin Republic had three pairs in them. Out of all of them the Rodial Dragon's Blood Eye Masks are probably my favourite. They sit on the skin like a second skin and the results when you take them off, last a good few days where the others only last a few hours. I've already repurchased them all except the Superdrug Own Brand ones. It's not because they're bad, I just haven't been able to find them in stores.

Sheet masks are the kind of mask I go through a lot of. And every empties I have a ton to show you. So let's start with three new ones I tried. The first was the Origins Flower Fusion Rose Sheet Mask. It was nice, left my skin feeling hydrated and soothed but didn't do much more to wow me. And at £5 a pop I don't think I'll be repurchasing it. The same can be said for the Nip and Fab Dragon's Blood Sheet Mask. Pricey as hell and it didn't do a lot for my skin, probably because it kept peeling off when I was wearing it. The one I would repurchase is the Nip and Fab Glycolic Extreme Fix Bubble Sheet Mask. It worked wonders on my skin, was hilarious to wear and didn't fall off my face when I moved. It's still a bit pricey but in my opinion worth every penny.
I used and reviewed the Simple Sheet Mask Range. Two were complete duds whilst one was amazing. If you ask me, Simple still has a way to go with their sheet masks as in the quality of the mask itself as well as how much product they add to it. I like my sheet masks well saturated but I don't like them dripping over my carpet. Not sure if I'd repurchase these.

I used up a couple of the Soap and Glory Sheet Masks. These two are in fact my favourites of the range. The Miracle Moisture Mask whilst dubious in appearance works wonders on hydrating and soothing skin whilst the Pore Refining Mask is perfect for hormonal skin in need of some TLC. It's Witch Hazel based formula is perfecting for combating any excess oil as well as tightening pores and purifying skin. Two masks that I will definitely be repurchasing.

And of course it wouldn't be a empties without a Garnier Moisture Bomb or four. I love these masks, they fit my face perfectly, work well with my skin and show long lasting results with for their £2.99 price tag is pretty astounding. I make sure I always have two or three of each mask in my collection so that when I'm having a shit day I can pop one one and forget about all my worries for fifteen to twenty minutes.
