Review: Superfacilaist Vitamin C+ Brighten Skin Renew Cleansing Oil

Cleansing oils have become a staple in my skincare routine, they're just effective a at breaking down make up whilst simultaneously nourishing skin. I've tried and loved the Loreal Cleansing Oil but I'm also enjoying trying out other cleansing oils both high street and high end to see if they're just as good or better. And today I'm starting with a high street friendly oil that's perfect for even these upcoming warmer months.

The Superfacilaist Vitamin C+ Brighten Skin Renew Cleansing Oil is a lightweight oil that can be used either to break down make up or to cleanse and nourish bare skin. Infused with Vitamin C, E and five different oil blends including Rosemary and Rosehip Oil, this cleansing oil aims to give skin a more youthful, brighter, retexturised feel after every use.

I've had my eye on this cleansing oil for the longest time but because I had a preconceived notion that oils wouldn't work for my face, I put off purchasing it until recently. And I'm so glad I finally started to understand that oils work for my skin as this has been the only cleansing oil I've reached for the whole of April. It breaks down make up quickly and effectively, including stubborn eye make up without stinging or irritating the eyes. It doesn't leave pores feeling blocked, skin feeling greasy or weighed down. It's Vitamin C active works to brighten skin and give it back it's radiant glow whilst simultaneously leaving skin feeling nourished and soft to the touch.

I can have especially sensitive skin but this hasn't broken me out, left my skin feeling irritated or sore. It does have a scent to it but it's not offencive and will only cause issues if you have extremely sensitive/reactive skin, especially when it comes to fragrance. It's not the most inexpensive cleansing oil on the market but it's also not the most expensive either so if you're looking for a nice mid range yet still budget friendly cleansing oil, I'd highly recommend checking this out. And if like me you were a little cautious when it comes to adding oil to your skin, this will completely change your outlook on oils and you'd soon become a convert like me.

Review: Simple Hydrating Cleansing Oil

This is a product that's been sat in my stash for the longest time. I intially tried it, wasn't too impressed so put it back and forgot about it. However lately I've been trying as many cleansers as possible for an upcoming set of posts and stumbled across this. I gave it another chance and immediately fell in love.

The Simple Hydrating Cleansing Oil is a lightweight cleansing oil that melts away make up including the toughest of eye make whilst simultaneously nourishing skin so after each use it feels soft to the touch. It contains Vitamin E so it nourishes the skin as you use it and you aren't left with that dry tight feeling that some cleansers leave skin feeling. It also doesn't leave skin feeling or looking greasy so people with combination/oily skin types can use it if they wish. As it's a Simple skin product it doesn't contain any perfume, colourants or harsh chemicals so if anyone with sensitive skin can get away with using this as well.

According to the back of the bottle two to three drops is enough to melt away make up and leave looking and feeling refreshed. However personally I feel like you need a good five or six drops for it to be enough to really work on the skin. My favourite part of using this oil is seeing it change from it's original translucent shade to the colour of your make up, it's like an indication of how well it's removing any signs of make up. A wet flannel or muslin cloth is all you need to remove this and afterwards your skin will be make up free and feeling like a baby's butt.

Initially I wasn't impressed by this product, there was something about it I just didn't like but this time around I've been really enjoying this. It makes a brilliant inital cleanse to really get rid of all make up meaning your second cleanse can really focus on your skin. Even when using more drops than recommended it never looks like you've used a ton of product with each use. It means this bottle will last a long time which is better than other oil cleanser I've tried recently. And the best bit, it costs less than a tenner. Definitely one you should have a look at when your next in the skincare aisle of your local drugstore.

Review: Loreal Extraodinary Oil Facial Cleansing Oil

When it comes to facial cleansers I've been a big fan of the Soap and Glory Peaches and Clean Cleansng Milk. It does what I want it to do and doesn't cause any issues with my skin but I do like to see if their are other options open to me if my skin ever decided that it didn't like it anymore. And one that caught my eye was the Loreal Cleansing Oil.

This oil comes in a pump and two pumps is enough to do your entire face. It's very watery and thin feeling for an oil but changes into a milky consistency when you apply it to the skin. It works well to break down and remove any base products you have on and you can see that as you work the oil into the skin but it isn't something I'd use on my eyes even though it says it can be used on eyes, face and lips. It comes away easily as well with a wet flannel or muslin cloth and there won't be a trace of make up left on your face.

Too begin with I felt this left my skin a little bit greasy after I used it but I did trial it as a second cleanse to begin with. However as a first cleanse this doesn't leave skin feeling greasy as there is obviously no other product for it to grab onto after you've removed your make up. If you do want to do a double cleanse and put this in your routine then I suggest using this first and then going in with a milk or a balm cleanser as that will wash off any residue left on your face as well as any make up or general dirt.

It claims to work on all skin types but I'd be a bit wary if you have sensitive skin. So far it hasn't caused me any problems but if you have very sensitive skin then this may irritate your skin. I do enjoy using this oil but it still doesn't beat my Soap and Glory Cleanser or my Body Shop Camomile Cleansing Balm. If you know that you already like oil based products or facial oils in general then I definitely recommend trying this for yourself. If you have extremely sensitive skin or skin that disagrees with oils then I'd say give this a wide berth. There are other brilliant cleansers on the market that don't have any oil in them.

So that's it for my review. Have any of you tried this? Yes? Did you like it? Or do you have budget cleanser recommendations for me? Let me know in the comments.
