Happy Saturday! Autumn if you haven't already worked out is my favourite time of the year. I can wear all the cosy clothes, eat the super yummy food and Halloween, my birthday and Christmas are just that one step closer. But one of my favourite things about Autumn is that I can dig all my darker lip shades out and wear them on rotation until March when Spring dawns. So today I'm sharing with you just a few of my favourite shades to wear this Autumn and even later on in the Winter.
My first and possibly my favourite lipstick of all time is the Smashbox Always On Liquid Lipstick in Out Loud. It is the perfect shade for Autumn/Winter and I've lost count of the amount of compliments I recieve when I wear this. It's a deep orange almost pumpkin shade that suits my fair tone stunngingly but would also suit more medium/deep tones beautifully. It's your standard matte liquid lipstick formula which means it can be drying if your lips are properly prepared beforehand but a bit of lip balm before and it wears comfortably for an amazingly long period of time. I've eaten and drunk whilst wearing this and the transfer is minimal. It's usually on the very inside of your lip that your lose anything if you do get any transfer at all. It's easy to top up/redo and if applied in thin layers, it can easily be layered up to make it last that little bit longer.
If you don't fancy paying Smashbox prices, a good high street dupe for Out Loud is Groundbreaker from Maybelline. From their amazing SuperStay Matte Ink Range, Groundbreaker is a slightly more red toned burnt orange shade that will suit so many skin tones beautifully. On me the orange tones in it are more noticeable but I think on more medium to dark skin tones the red undertones are going to shine through and make it pop. These Matte Inks have the weirdest formula but they work well for people like me who have a tendency to forget lip balm on the regular. Long lasting, comfortable to wear, transferproof but no the normal powdery formula of a matte liquid lipstick. These still have a slight sheen to them and they don't completely dry down. There is always a slight tackiness to them that would make you believe they'd transfer easily but they don't. I've eaten burgers, roasts, KFC and more with them on and they haven't budged. If you're looking for something that's a little bit bougee but won't embarress you on date night, these are perfect for you.
The second shade of the Maybelline SuperStay Matte Inks that I'm going to recommend to you is Founder. It's a deliciously dark berry shade that gives any look a vampy twist but isn't unwearable like a darker shade that they have in the range. I love pairing this shade with tops in black, white and grey as each colour gives this shade a different tone and it's amazing how it works. If I'm not feeling burnt orange shades during Autumn, this is the shade that I go to. It reminds me slightly of the infamous Rimmel/Kate Moss Shade 107 which was everyone's ride or die shade when I first joined the beauty community but without the drying, powdery matte formula.
A more neutral shade from the Matte Ink Range that is still suitable around this time of the year is Soloist. This is actually one of four new shades that they released at the beginning of Autumn. It is a lovely greyish, lilac shade that doesn't look as bad as it sounds on the lips. It is a nice twist on a neutral or a berry shade during this time of the year and depending on your skin tone, depends on how much of the pink undertone shows through it. I seriously can not get enough of these liquid lipsticks, their so low maintenance whilst having such a high maintenance pop of colour that just makes any look.
And the final lipstick and the final shade of Matte Ink I want to recommend in this Lip Edit is Pathfinder. Now as you can see it's more a pink shade but it's not a bubblegum pink but infact a raspberry pink. It's deeper pink tone means that fairer skin tones like mine can actually wear it without worrying about looking like Barbie. The tear shaped doe foot applicator distributes just the right amount of products onto the lips and it's pointed tip gives you a sharp line that not even some lip liners can get.

Haul: Beauty, Beauty And Some More Beauty
I'm back! I decided I needed a break from pushing myself to hard to be perfect both with the blog and in life in general. But now I'm back and I'm coming at you today with a haul of epic proportions. Over the last few months I've been collecting everything I've brought beauty wise for this giant haul. A lot of them are repurchases, some of them are new discoveries and a few of them are in preparation for the wedding I'm going to this month.
I'm going to kick things off with the travel sized cuties I've brought to take with me to Naomi's wedding later this month. The first thing I picked up was the IT Cosmetics CC Cream. I'd heard so many good things about this since I started my blog and I've always wanted to try it. So when I saw my local Boots were now stocking it in their newly refurbished beauty hall, I just had to try it. I've worn this a couple of times and it's amazing. I brought the travel sized to initially try it and to save some room in my make up bag when I go up to Sheffield. I can tell you now though, I'll definitely be buying the full size bottle when I get paid next.
The next new travel sized product I brought to both try out and take away with me is the Too Faced Hangover X Spray. Again Too Faced is now easier to access for me so I of course had to pick up the primer water that I'd heard so much about. I haven't tried this yet but what I really like is that this can be used both under and over make up meaning I've saved even more room in my make up bag when I pack. Will I buy the full sized bottle, come back to me at the end of the month and I'll let you know.
The penultimate item I brought for the wedding was a travel sized pot of the Clinique Take The Day Off Balm. I needed something to take to Sheffield to remove my make up off with and as I already love this balm, it was a no brainer. And I can't get over how dinky and cute this tiny pot is. I still need to buy a travel sized moisturiser so I'm tempted to go back and buy the travel sized of the Clinique Moisture Surge Hydrator.
The last thing I brought in preparation for the wedding is in fact a repurchase. The Smashbox Always On Liquid Lipstick in Out Loud is one of my absolute favourite lipsticks and it just happens to match the colour theme I've got going on for the wedding. If you've never seen Out Loud as a shade, it's a very beautiful pumpkin, burnt orange shade and ties in beautifully with my dress, shoes and bag. I've loved this shade since I brought it and mine was on it's way out so I obviously needed to repurchase one for the wedding.
Shall we move onto the plethora of repurchases I've got to share with you. Let's kick things off with the most exciting of the bunch. I finally caved and brought a full sized bottle of the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair. I absolutely adore ANR. It works wonders on my spots and helps to even out my skin whenever it's feeling a little worse for wear. A little bit of this goes a long way and whilst it's expensive, it's well worth every penny.
Boots at one point had an amazing deal on their Pixi products so I of course had to pick a fresh bottle of both my Retinol Tonic and Glow Tonic. Both of these are everyday essentials for me and have helped take my skin from a temperamental wreck to feeling like a goddess. And being only £12 a bottle at the time, I'd have been silly not to have ordered them.
Another repurchase I made was for the Nip And Fab Glycolic Fix Extreme 6%. It's my go to toner when my skin is breaking out and when the XXL bottle is only a fiver more than the small bottle, it was a no brainer for me. This will last me for ages so I don't mind paying a little more for something I know that works.
Alongside my ANR and Nip And Fab Toner, I can't live without my Palmers' Facial Oil. I normally wait until it's on a half price deal to stock up but I was close to running out and I couldn't fathom letting my skin go without it so I just brought it full price. It's not the most expensive product out there but I always like being able to save a little money where I can.
The Soap And Glory Peaches And Clean Cleansing Milk is one of my go to cleansers and annoyingly my current bottle had gotten to the point where nothing wants to come out even though there are tons of product left in the bottom of the bottle. I wish Soap And Glory would change their packaging so that I didn't end up wasting tons of product each time I buy this.
A product I always get every last drop out of is the Botanics Rosewater Toning Spray. This is a great budget dupe for the Liz Earle Skin Tonic Spritz. I tend to reach for this more during the summer months when it's warm and my skin needs to be constantly refreshed. Ideally I'd have like to have taken this when we go up to Sheffield but unfortunately the packaging is a bit to bulky for my weekend bag.
I literally ran out of sheet masks halfway through last month. I couldn't believe it, I'm usually more on the ball with repurchasing them but I completely lost track of how many I had used. So I repurchased some of my favourites including these two from Soap And Glory. The Miracle Moisture Mask is my favourite of the two as it fits wonderfully to the face, works wonders on the skin and doesn't cost the earth unlike other masks of it's type. The Radiance Boost isn't one I'd normally choose but they didn't have the pore refining mask when I brought them so it had to do.
Boots ran out of my holy grail scrub for a good two months so when it finally came back in stock I went a little mad and brought four. Yes you read that right, I brought four. There was no need to put all four in the picture but I did in fact buy four so that I don't have to worry about running out for a while. The Sugar Crush Body Scrub from Soap And Glory is the only scrub that actually makes a difference to my skin. Nothing else works as well and I was more than happy when I spotted it sitting on the shelves of my local boots.
I also brought another of the Fizz-A-Ball Bath Bombs from Soap And Glory. This post isn't sponsored, I just really love Soap And Glory products. This bath bomb isn't a luxurious as the ones you pick up in Lush but it does smell divine and adds a little bit more luxury to your soak in the bath.
A couple of months back Barry M released their Serum Mists. Different from their Primer Water and Setting Sprays, these sprays are designed to work under your make up as well as over your make up as a refresher. I'm actually already on my second bottle of the Coconut Spray as it's just divine and I end up spraying myself with more of it than is necessary. The Cucumber one is going to be an essential through the Summer months and I'm really tempted to take it to Sheffield with me even though it's got some slightly bulky packaging.
I have never been able to be loyal to a mascara. And recently none of my mascaras were doing anything for me so I went and repurchased my favourite from Loreal. The Volume Million Lashes Couture has an amazing silicone barrel shaped brush that catches every tiny lash and gives them a massive boost. It's only downfall is that Loreal mascaras are a bitch to remove but it doesn't stop me slapping a ton of this on everytime.
The Benefit They're Real Tinted Lash Primer is the only lash primer I like out of the many I've tried so when mine showed signs of running out, I snuck over to my local Benefit stand (the women there scare me) and picked up a fresh tube. I think what makes this stand out from other lash primers is that you can wear it on it's own without it being obvious. I didn't think to pick up a travel size tube of this for the wedding and I refuse to go without it so it looks like I'm going to be taking the full size with me.
If you've been around for a while then you'll know I love the Maybelline SuperStay Matte Inks. I already own quite a few but there was still a couple of shades that I had my eye on but just hadn't got round to buying. So when work offered me 20% extra off make up alongside my work discount I just couldn't resist picking them up. Lover is the most stunning cool toned pink shade that has a wonderful lilac undertone that pairs well with numerous looks. I've worn this several times and may have brought a couple of t-shirts recently based on how good it's going to look paired with this shade. And Dancer I haven't worn yet but I plan on getting a lot of wear out of during the Summer. It's more orange than the other reds I own from this range and I think it's going to look amazing paired with my fair complexion and dark hair.
Earlier in the year Pixi released a shit ton of new products and one that really caught my eye were there packs of sheet masks. There are two types, the Glycolic trio and the Collagen Boost trio that I picked up. There are three in this box and they only cost a tenner. A TENNER! There are some brands that charge double that for just one. I've used one of these already and I really like how it made my skin feel. However recently I've let my self care/skincare routine drop and it's definitely showing.
Last year Simple launched a range of sheet masks but they left a lot to be desired which they obviously realised and this year they've come back and launched a new range of under eye patches and hydro gel sheet masks. These Brightening Under Eye Patches are amazing. I actually brought two packs, one of which I've already worn and I love them. They don't fold in on themselves as you apply them, they're not saturated in too much product and they don't slip down your face when you move. They don't have the most groundbreaking results but they do leave the skin under my eyes feeling super soft and hydrated.
And finally I have another pair of Simple Under Eye Patches to share with you and a Hydra Gel Sheet Mask. Both from Simple's Water Boost range, these claim to keep skin hydrated for longer but without the heavy feeling of cream. I'm always sceptical when brands make claims like these but I'm willing to give them a go. And as with all the new products in this haul if I like them then you'll see them in a favourites or review.

Autumn Lip Edit
Oh Autumn, how you set my soul alight. Autumn doesn't only mean the countdown to Halloween, my birthday and Christmas to me. It means I can return to looks that I love and looks I feel ten times more comfortable in than those I wear any other time of the year. If you can't already guess from the title, today I'm sharing with you my go to Autumn Lip shades for the upcoming months.
Smashbox Always On Liquid Lipstick in Out Loud
I own a ton of Autumnal lip products but the one I know I'll be wearing the most out of the entire collection is a repeat offender from last year. Out Loud is that beautiful pumpkin/bourbon shade I adored last year after a hunt for a burnt orange shade. And again this Autumn I can't get enough of this shade. There are occasions where this can be uncomfortable after a while but if lips are prepped properly, this shade can last flawlessly for hours without the need for reapplication. It stands out beautifully in all black outfits or looks with a pop of khaki.
Maybelline SuperStay Matte Inks in Founder, Groundbreaker and Ruler
After Out Loud there is one particular lip product that I can't get enough of. The SuperStay Matte Inks from Maybelline are one of the best high street lip formulas available right now. Comfortable, non drying, long wearing and saturated in colour, these lipsticks will last you all day long without the need for reapplication. I have a ton of shades but my three favourites for the Autumn period are Founder (top), Groundbreaker (middle) and Ruler (bottom). Founder is a gorgeous plum shade that surprisingly doesn't go patchy when applied, Groundbreaker is a gorgeous orange red shade; a good dupe if you don't want to pay £19 for the Smashbox and Ruler is a deep raspberry pink. I love how these look, how they wear and I'd happily buy even more shades.
Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipsticks in Rubino and Fiery
Stila do an amazing selection of shades in their liquid lipstick formula. And since my last Autumn Lip Edit I've managed to add a few more shades to my collection. Two that scream Autumn to me are Rubino (top) and Fiery (bottom). Rubino looks like a deep burgundy in the tube but actually applies more of a plum shade whilst Fiery is a deep red with a subtle blue undertone. If lips are chapped or not prepped correctly, these can be drying but if you've prepped lips beforehand these wear beautifully. They don't transfer easily, don't need to be reapplied constantly and are highly pigmented in one swipe. Rubino needs a little more work than Fiery but that extra couple of minutes to perfect it are well worth it.
Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in Aria
Another Stila liquid lipstick I love is the shade Aria. It's more of an unusual shade for this time of the year but it's got enough of a deep raspberry undertone for it to be wearable. Aria is a shade that I see working well with grey as well as black during these colder months. Again I love wearing this liquid lipsticks but there's got to be some prep beforehand. I speak from experience as today (the 19th) I did not prep my lips beforehand and ended up having to do an emergency patch up job during my shift at work.
Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in Serenata
This is the final Stila lipstick I promise. Serenata is one of my all time favourite shades but unfortunately it' was limited edition in one of their seasonal kits. It breaks my heart that I can't get my hands on a full size bottle of this as it's the perfect greigey, grungey nude that works well with so many looks. It can be paired with brown, grey and khaki and just gives it a smokey, grungy, undone look that I find so hard to pull off with other shades. I'm still hunting for a dupe of this so I can continue it's legacy once I've emptied this tube but as of right now, the search is looking harder than believed.
NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Rome
Neutrals aren't my preferred lip colour when Autumn finally graces us, I much prefer deeper, darker tones that really stand out but sometimes a neutral is necessary to make a look work. And one of my favourites is Rome from NYX. One of their Soft Matte Lip Creams, this stunning plum toned neutral shade works wonderfully on a multitude of skintones and it's mousse like formula means it's comfortable to wear all day long. It's extremely lightweight on the lips which means I forget I'm wearing it, doesn't dry lips out after a period of time and doesn't need to reapplied constantly.
NYX Matte Lipstick in Alabama
Autumn is the season when my red lipstick collection is rediscovered and loved again. One of my favourite shades, especially at the beginning of the season is Alabama from NYX. One of their matte lipsticks, this deep red shade is comfortable to wear, doesn't has that powdery matte texture, doesn't fade and reapplies very little maintenance after inital application. What I like about it the most is that it's not that bright Christmas red but still has a enough of a pop to it that will garner you a few compliments.
Loreal Color Riche Matte Lipstick in Brick Vintage
I love a good orange red/rust red during the Autumn, it gives it more a of a turning leaves vibe than a Christmas vibe and works with the beautiful Autumnal colour palette you see everywhere it turns September. And Brick Vintage from Loreal's matte lipstick collection is a shade that matches that criteria perfectly. It's got just the right amount of orange running through it to give it that rust vibe and not too much like a orange tomato red that I much prefer wearing during the warmer months. The Loreal matte lipsticks are very creamy in texture but don't smudge or fade in anyway. They last a good few hours on the lips and don't dry out or crumble on the lips. They do have a slightly over the top scent but luckily it doesn't last when applied to the lips.
Maybelline Color Sensational Matte Lipstick in Divine Wine
Last year I spoke about how I'd stopped wearing my beloved 107 from Rimmel. Well I think it's safe to say since then I've found myself a new version of the 107 and it hasn't changed how it looks on my skin. Divine Wine from Maybelline was featured in my Lip Edit last Autumn and I can't help but feature it again in this one. It's a stunning deep wine shade that's creamy formula doesn't dry out lips or leave them feeling powdery and uncomfortable. It does fade slightly but reapplication is easy and doesn't cause it to crumble or ball up on the lip. And the best bit, this is still readily available in the shops.

Top 10 Most Worn Lipsticks
Lipstick is possibly one of my favourite things in the world. It can really pull a look together or can be the main focus of your look. I wear lipstick on a daily basis ranging from pillar box red one day to a cool greige tone the next. And my collection is vast which got me wondering which lipsticks are actually my most worn of them. So today I'm sharing with you my ten most worn/most loved lipsticks.
10- MAC Matte Lipstick in Russian Red
Shade: Blue Toned Red
Why I wear it so much: It's a classic shade that goes well with most looks and suits every skin type. I always feel more confident when I wear this and I love how the blue undertone makes my fair skin look even fairer and almost flawless. Plus it's a comfortable matte finish that can be uncomfortable and drying if you have dry lips but it's nothing that a little lip balm can't fix.
9- Gosh Velvet Touch Matte Lipstick in Rose
Shade: Mauve Pink Shade
Why I wear it so much: It's a perfect everyday neutral. It's not too pink but it's not too brown either and warms up my complexion without the need for bronzer. It's matte finish is again comfortable but can become uncomfortable after a few hours, especially if you haven't prepped your lips properly beforehand. However a little lip balm pressed over top soon remedies that.
8- NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Amsterdam
Shade: Bright Tomato Red
Why I wear it so much: It's that perfect mix of blue toned red and cherry red with just the right amount of orange running through it. The formula is a dream, it's non drying, long wearing and half the time I forget I'm wearing it as it doesn't leave lips feeling dry or powdery. It can occasionally go streaky but when paired with a perfect matching lip liner, you get a highly pigmented, opaque shade.
7- Maybelline Color Sensational Creamy Matte in Divine Wine
Shade: Deep Red
Why I wear it so much: This lipstick is Autumn in a nutshell. I love wearing this during the colder months as it has enough warmth to stop my complexion from looking sickly but it's still dark enough to meet that autumnal trend. And it's formula is a dream. Creamy to apply, highly pigmented, long wearing and non drying, this shade is forever close by during the colder months.
6- Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in Patina
Shade: Neutral Pink
Why I wear it so much: It’s just beautiful. It’s got enough of a pink tone to keep it warm against my fairer complexion but it’s not that pink that it’s overpowered and looks like a Barbie pink. Sure the wear can be a little uncomfortable if you don’t prep lips properly but when lips are properly scrubbed and hydrated, this wears perfectly.
5- Rosie For Autograph Lipstick in Silk Rose
Shade: Pinky Brown
Why I wear it so much: It's my go 90's grunge brown shade. It looks darker than me than it does on others but it gives it that real 90's look and love pairing this with a ladder rip sweater and black skinny jeans. It's looks more like a sheen finish when you first apply it but once that's worn away, you're left with a beautiful satin finish that is comfortable to wear and lasts for hours. It's one of two from the Rosie For Autograph range I've worn the most.
4- Maybelline SuperStay Matte Ink in Ruler
Shade: Deep raspberry pink
Why I wear it so much: It's all about the formula with this lipstick. Ruler is highly pigmented and opaque in one swipe and whilst it's advertised as a liquid lipstick it keeps some of it's sheen even after it's adhered itself to your lips. There's no dry, powdery finish with this lipstick and it can sit comfortably on the lips for hours without need for touch up. I especially love this for when I'm eating out as it doesn't budge, even when your eating the greasiest of foods.
3- Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in Beso
Shade: Bright Tomato Red
Why I wear it so much: This is my ultimate go to red. I love how it wears, how it sits and how it compliments a ton of looks as well as my complexion. It's the perfect empowering red that gives me the confidence boost I occasionally need. I love this that much I've gone through and entire mini and am halfway through a full size already.
2- Smashbox Always On Liquid Lipstick in Out Loud
Shade: Pumpkin Orange
Why I wear it so much: What isn't to love about this shade. It practically screams Autumn. I wanted a burnt orange/russet shade for a while and finally found it last year in this. It's your standard liquid lipstick formula but doesn't feel powdery or dry on the lips and can be comfortably worn for long periods of time.
1- Rosie For Autograph Lipstick in Lady Rose
Shade: Neutral Pink
Why I wear it so much: If you had asked me a couple of years ago what my most worn lipstick was I would have said Rimmel's infamous 107 Matte Lipstick. Now though, it's my absolute favourite nude and one that as you can see no longer has the beautiful rose engraved in to it. Like Silk Rose this has a sheen to start with but wears away to leave behind a satin finish that lasts for an age on the lips and doesn't dry them out or leave them feeling uncomfortable. And surprisingly it was the nude lipstick that made me see I could wear nudes and neutral tones without looking washed out or ill. It's definitely one I'll repurchase time and time again no matter what other shades I have in my collection.

2017 Beauty Favourites: Make Up
Happy New Year! It's that time in the Beauty Community where we all share what we've been loving the past year. And as I did last year I've split my beauty favourites up into two posts, the first make up and the other skincare which will be up on Wednesday. Shall we get into it?
Primer: The only primer I have loved this year is the Maybelline SuperStay Primer. Released last January, this lightweight fluid primer not only helps prolong the life of your make up but also creates an even base so that make up applies seamlessly over top. I've lost count of the amount of bottles of this I've gone through in the last year and I know I will be going through so many more unless something better comes out.
Colour Correctors: Colour correcting is something I've been a lot more interested in this year and it's all down to two colour correctors from Collection. The Lasting Perfection Colour Correctors Concealers are pigmented but coverable, long wearing and don't effect anything you apply over top. The Green worked wonderfully to cover any redness caused by blemishes whilst the Lemon brightened and neutralised my dark circles after one too many late nights.
Foundation: There were two foundations I loved in 2017. The first was the Loreal Total Cover Foundation. Extremely high coverage, long lasting and lightweight on the skin, this has been my favourite when I want my face to look flawless but still skin like. And the second was my go to Summer base. The Rosie For Autograph Sheer Finish Complexion Enhancer is a BB Cream/Tinted Moisturiser hybrid that gave skin a healthy glow as well as decent coverage. It was perfect during that stifling heatwave we had and gave my skin an even, healthy looking base even though it's was boiling outside.
Concealer: The only concealer that I've reached for this year has been my Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer. It's high coverage, long lasting and doesn't look heavy or cakey on the skin. It covers blemishes, under eye circles and redness easily and doesn't crease or fade throughout the day. This last year I've gone through one a month and can gurantee that I'll be going through even more in 2018.
Powder: There were two powders that I loved in 2017 but I only had one to physically photograph so I'm only going to talk about that one. The MUA Transparent Pressed Setting Powder has been the only powder this year to not crease under my eyes and help prolong the life of my make up. It's a lightweight almost baked texture powder that doesn't feel powdery or heavy on the skin. It sets the under eye area perfectly and concealer doesn't crease as it does with other powders. And it also doesn't sit heavily on the skin, leaving it looking natural but set in place.
Brows: I get my brows tinted when I get them waxed so I don't always find a need for brow products but over the last year I have been loving the Benefit Gimme Brow. This is just enough for those times in between brow tints when my brows just need a little something extra. What I like about it the most though is that it doesn't leave my brows looking crispy or over the top even if I accidentally put too much in them.
Mascara: I've tried a lot of mascaras this year but there was only one I found myself going back to time after time. The Loreal Volume Million Lashes So Couture was a surprising favourite. First impressions weren't too great but with a little perseverance this turned out to be a brilliant mascara. With a silicone feel, multi bristle brush, this mascara gives lashes volume and length without being too clumpy or wet in formula. It's holds a curl and doesn't flake or smudge making it the perfect mascara for everyday wear.
Lip Liner: Apart from my beloved Primark Lip Liner in 03 Red, there has only been one other lip liner I've loved this year. It's the Rosie For Autograph Lip Definer in Silk. This has been the only lipstick I've been wearing when I've worn a neutral lip this year. It's highly pigmented, glides beautifully on the lips and matches so many shades of lipstick. Plus it's a mechnical pencil so I haven't had to contantly worry about finding my pencil sharpner.
Lipsticks: Lipstick is always one of the hardest catergories for me to chose. I find so many I love throughout the year but physically can not put them all in this post. So I cut it down to four. Two of them come from Rosie For Autograph and have been two that started my love for shades that aren't just red or deep plum tones. Silk Cami is a stunning nude shade that suits even my fair tone whilst Rosie Lips is a deep pink shade that is bold, beautiful and a surprising favourite for someone like me who shys away from pinks. These lipsticks are creamy, highly pigmented and long lasting. They're comfortable to wear, plus they don't smudge even though they are a sheen finish. And the other two lipsticks I've loved this year are matte. The first is the Gosh Matte Lipstick in Raisin. It's a matte finish but isn't a dry powdery matte like so many on the market. It glides effortlessly onto the lips and stays in place all day without gathering in any lines or cracks in the lips. It's a stunning brown shade which I've been wearing all year and calling it 90's Grunge. And yes I plan on rocking it all through next year as well. And the last lipstick is a relatively new one to me but with the amount I've been wearing it, it couldn't be left out. The LorealxBalmain collaboration lipstick in Domination is the perfect red. It's perfect for all skin tones and it's comfortable matte finish means it stays in place without drying lips out. It's been my go to lipstick over the festive period and I can see myself getting a lot more wear out of it next year.
Liquid Lipsticks: Now I know a lot of people have gone off liquid lipsticks this year but I am still embracing them and have found two formulas that have worked perfectly for me, The first is the Smashbox Always On Liquid Lipstick. I have the shade Out Loud and it's been one of the only liquid lipsticks that I've worn over the last few months. It's thin in formula, lasts all day and doesn't dry or become uncomfortable. I am certainly going to be getting more shades in 2018. And the other formula I've been loving is the Barry M Liquid Lipstick formula. Especially in their Matte Me Up Lip Kits. Each kit contains a lip liner and matching liquid lipstick. These are some of the thinnest liquid lipsticks I've ever worn. They feel like your not wearing anything at all and don't suck all the hydration from your lips either. I'm hoping Barry M release more shades in 2018 as I can't get enough of these kits.
Setting Spray: There has only been one setting spray I've reached for and that comes from Collection. Their Primed And Ready Make Up Fixing Spray has replaced the Maybelline SuperStay in my affections and for good reason to. This lightweight spray locks make up in place with a soft matte finish that both removes any signs of cake face as well as leaving everything looking natural and skin like. It's not heavy and pore clogging and doesn't leave those horrible white toothpaste looking dots on the skin if not shook enough. I've never known a setting spray work so well and I can tell you now you'll be seeing a lot more of these in my empties in 2018.
