Marks And Spencer's Beauty Advent Calendar Day Two

Welcome back to Day Two in my 25 Days of Beauty Series where I show you what I get in my Marks and Spencers Advent Calender.

In today's box I recieved a tube of the Filorga Time Filler Eyes Absolute Eye Cream. This is a thick balm like eye cream that claims to smooth out expression lines, evens out the appearence of skin and helps to combat skin sagging. I recieved a 4ml tube of product with the full size retailing at £47 for a 15ml pot.

The box was quite light when I took it out of the calendar so I wasn't surprised when something as small as this tube fell out. Initially I was disappointed and thought that they'd reduced the size of the of the tube but when I read it was an eye cream it all made sense. Eye creams come in smaller packaging anyway so it was understandable why the tube was smaller than average. My first impressions of this cream are that it's very thick, feels more like a balm than a cream and would do a good job at nourishing and hydrating the under eye area for a longer period of time. I haven't tried it on my face yet but I'd say this would take a good two to three uses to really notice any difference.

Review: Optimum Ice Wine Eye Cream

Eye cream is one product I always find needs changing reguarly. Cleansers, toners, serums and moisturiers are something I change because I want to whether it's for a new product or because I'm bored of a product. Eye creams I have to change reguarly because they just stop working. This year alone I've gone through three eye creams before I found this one which thankfully is still working for me.

The Optimum Ice Wine Eye Cream is designed to hydrate, firm and smooth the under eye area. It's ingredients include Vitamin E, Olive Oil and Swiss Ice Wine which work together to smooth, tighten, firm as well as de puff the under eye area. It's metal applicator is both cooling and soothing on the skin and makes it the perfect product after a late night.

The metal applicator distributes just the right amount of product and is incredibly soothing and cooling on the skin. It's perfect for those mornings when your eyes need that little something extra, especially if you've have a late night or watched a weepy film. And the smooth applicator can also be used to distribute the product without pulling or tugging at the thin under eye skin. Pop it in the fridge and it'll be even more cooling and soothing on the skin, it's results instantaneous.

I love this eye cream, I've tried higher end eye creams and more budget friendly ones and none have worked as well as this one. It's cool metal applicator works to soothe and depuff my under eye area whilst it's complex of ingredients work to hydrate and soften my under eye area whilst simultaneously reducing the appearence of my dark circles. And it has done the same thing everyday since I started using it. This hasn't stopped working or showing results and I've been using this for a good two months. By now with other eye creams the results aren't there anymore and instead of hydrating the under eye area, they're in fact drying it out, causing make up to look powdery and somewhat cakey.

Whilst this eye cream isn't the most inexpensive one on the market it's also not ridiculously overpriced. This sits on the same price scale as Loreal and Olay but compared to Olay eye creams I've tried this actually works and works well. My under eye area has never looked this good before and it's all down to this product. I'd happily pay full price for this cream but it can always be found on a half price offer or buy one get one free at Superdrug. If you're in the market for a new eye cream but don't want to pay the earth then I'd recommend checking this out.

Review: Superdrug Naturally Radiant Brightening Eye Cream

This is just a quick post. It was supposed to be my New At The Drugstore post but with work being busy this week and having been ill as well, I haven't been able to get that post ready. But instead I thought I'd review a product that has quickly become my favourite.

I picked up the Naturally Radiant Brightening Eye Cream a couple of weeks ago as something new to try in my battles against the dark circles. I didn't have high expectations as I've tried brightening eye creams before and been disappointed but this has really impressed me.

Containing Kiwi Fruit Extract, Mulberry Fruit Extract and Sugar Beet Extract, this small tube helps eyes feel youthful and revitalised as well as brightened and protected. The Kiwi Fruit Extract is the key ingredient as it contains a lot of Vitamin C which is needed around the eye area and not only evens skintone out but helps protect against any nasties that get near your eyes.

The three ingredients combined are like a powerhouse of product and give brilliant results in a short amount of time. Before I used this my dark circles were extremely visible, sometimes even through my concealer and the skin under my eyes all looked puffy. Only two days after I started using this did I see a difference. And I was blown away. My dark circles while still there were not as bright as before and the skin around them looked less puffy and felt smoother to the touch. A little bit of this goes a long way and I find the a pea sized amount does both under my eye and over my eyelid. I love how after every application my eyes look brighter and more awake, it makes putting my make up on a dream.

If you're on a budget and you're looking for something to give your eyes that extra oopmh then I recommend you check this out. It's purse friendly, good for the skin and a product you actually see results from. It's definitely going to be joining my holy grail products.
