Review: Garnier Moisture Bomb Tissue Masks

If you've been reading my blog for a while now then you'll know I'm a massive fan of the Garnier Moisture Bomb Tissue Masks. The original Moisture Bomb was amazing, the Green Tea a favourite and the Chamomile a necessity. And now they have added two more masks to their collection and let's just say, they are just as good, if not better than the originals.

The first of the two is their Super-Hydrating De-Tiring Mask. Contaning Hyaluronic Acid and Lavender Essential Oil, it aims to provide skin with intense hydration whilst reducing the appearence of fatigue. It's faint lavender scent is also there to relax the senses and gives a more luxurious pampering experience.

And the second is the Super-Hydrating Glow Revealing Mask. Containing Sakura Extract and Hyaluronic Acid, this not only hydrates skin but leaves it looking rejuvenated with a healthy glow. It has a slight floral scent to it but isn't too overpowering or irritating on the skin.

There is no way to chose which mask is better out of the two. The De-Tiring Mask is perfect to relax senses whilst reviving and rejuvenating skin. If you're more of an evening pamperer then this would be the mask for you, especially if you find it hard to switch off, this will help. The lavender scent will make you feel relaxed as a whole and could lead to you having an earlier night than planned.

The Glow Revealing Mask is more of a morning/beginning of the day mask. It makes the perfect base for make up as it leave skin looking glowy and that glow can and will translate through any make up you apply over top to give skin a natural luminous glow that looks healthy and perfect for this time of the year.

I've already said it but there is no way to chose between the two. Both of them wowed me and left my skin looking better than it has in a while. I will happily repurchase both of these masks alongside the others in the range. Your skin type and skin need will be the only thing you can use to help you decide between these masks but if you're a beauty junkie like me and I know a lot of you out there are, then you'll probably end up buying both anyway so I'm not going to recommend one mask over the other. I will say though that I highly recommend checking them out when you're next in your local Superdrug, I'm sure you won't be disappointed. 

Review: Garnier Moisture Bomb Multi-Protecting Hydrating Mist With SPF

When it comes to facial mists I have my favourites as I know what works for my skin. Yet when Garnier released their Moisture Bomb Facial Mist with SPF I just couldn't help but try it. Normally I don't like aerosol based face mists as they don't seem to serve the same purpose as other mists but this one is one of few that contradicts that.

The Garnier Moisture Bomb Mist doesn't just refresh and hydrate skin, it also protects skin from daily aggressors such as pollution and UV damage. Containing Pomergranate extract and hydrating glycerin the main ingredients throughout the Moisture Bomb range, this aerosol mist hydrates skin in one spray. It also contains UV filters and an SPF of 30 but contary to belief it's not heavy, pore clogging or irritating to the skin. In fact it's lightweight, almost undetectable on the skin and can even be used over top of make up.

It says on the front of the can it's for dehydrated skin but because it's a mist and not a cream or gel any skin type can use it. It doesn't contain oil and won't cause those with more combination/oily skins to produce even more sebum. It's perfect for taking on the go with you and refreshing skin throughout the day.

I didn't initally see this doing anything for my skin but after about four uses I really felt the benefits of it. Spritzed over the top of my make up, my skin instantly hydrated and refreshed but it didn't disrupt any of my make up and made it look almost as if I'd just applied it. The smell of this reminds  me very much of my childhood when I had inhalers as it has a very chemical smell to it but it's something that's easy to overlook. This has become a perfect accompinment to my Sunday's as I spend a lot more time outside and like to make sure my skin is hydrated and protected all at once. My only bug bear with this product is the size. It's a tiny can that doesn't feel like it's going to last long, I wish it were a bit bigger not only for longevity but also in value for money terms. That being said though it's not a terrible product and I will be buying another when I finsh the original. If you're looking for a facial mist that doesn't drench skin, can be used over make up and protects skin whilst simultaneously then I'd highly recommend checking this out.

Review: Garnier Moisture Bomb Sheet Masks

 

Back in September I reviewed the original Garnier Moisture Bomb Sheet Mask. It was the first sheet mask from the brand and it's popularity was outstanding. So with the sucess of their first mask and a relaunch of  their SkinActive skincare they released two more sheet masks to cater to the needs of different skin types.

At the moment there are only two new releases mask wise from Garnier but I could see it expanding in the future after seeing how well these have been recieved. The first is their Moisture Bomb Camomile Tissue Mask. Aimed at sensitive to dry skin types this mask doesn't contain the exact same ingredients as their sensitive skincare range but would fit in well as a once a week treatment. Containing Camomile as well as their key ingredient Hyaluronic Acid, this mask aims to soothe irritated skin as well as supplying skin with a week's worth of hydration.

And the other mask they released is the Moisture Bomb Green Tea Tissue Mask. This is aimed at comibnation/oily skintypes and fits in as a treatment within their new Green Tea skincare range. Containing Green Tea, Hyaluronic Acid and Hydrating Glycerin this mask not only hydrates skin without creating excess sebum but also mattifies the skin and reduces the appearence of pores.

Both of these masks only need fifteen minutes to work their magic. These tissue masks are thin and lightweight on the skin. They sit comfortably on the skin and don't flap or peel when you move around. And whilst they're saturated in product they're not that saturated that it's dripping everywhere as you wear it which makes them great as you can actually carry on with your day instead of having to lie or sit in one place as it works.

As my skin is more sensitive/reactive than oily/combination I do prefer the Camomile mask over the Green Tea Mask. Unfortunately last month I was hit by a horrendous virus and my poor skin went through the ringer. It was dry, sensitive to touch and my redness was going into overdrive. And the Camomile mask was a skin saviour. After cleansing my skin with my Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish I popped the Camomile mask on and took a twenty minute cat nap. Once it felt like the mask had given my skin all it could, I peeled it off and went for a good look in the mirror. Immediately I was impressed, my skin felt softer to the touch, looked less sore and aggravated and my redness whilst still there didn't look as bad as it had before.

The sheet mask trend is getting bigger every day and with every brand bringing out their own versions it's sometimes hard to chose the one that's best for your skin. And whilst sometimes it's necessary to pay more for skincare, for things like sheet masks there's no need to break the bank. Coming in at £2.99 each the Garnier Moisture Bomb Tissue Masks won't disappoint you. Easy to use, results are instantaneous and packed with high quality ingredients these masks are sure to become holy grail products once you've tried them.

Review: Garnier Moisture Bomb Water Cream

When Garnier first released their Moisture Bomb range I tried their night cream and it didn't work for my skin. So I dismissed the range and moved onto different products. Until I received a sachet of their Moisture Bomb Day Cream. I soon fell in love with the day products in the range including their Tissue Mask. And recently they've released a new day cream which I thought wouldn't agree with my skin but in fact has become a part of my skincare routine I can't go without.

The Garnier Moisture Bomb Glow Enhancer Water Cream is a gel based cream that claims to moisturise and nourish skin whilst simultaneously enhancing skin's natural glow. It's lightweight in texture and sinks into skin almost immediately, leaving skin feeling hydrated, nourished, soft and plump to the touch. It can be worn on it's own, under make up or even mixed in with your base of choice to add some extra glow to it. And because it's lightweight in texture it's not going to make foundation break up or ball up over the top of it like some other hydrating creams can do.

If you have combination/oily skin then this gel cream is definitely not for you. Whilst oily skin does need moisturising, this holds moisture and hydrates skin more than oily skin can handle. Normal/dry and even sensitive skin can definitely use this and enjoy it's results. If you're worried that this is going to make your face look sweaty instead of glowy then don't, this will not make you look anything like that. It'll just take any natural glow your skin already has from other products and enhance it to make skin look healthier and radiant looking.

I've always thought Garnier was one of the best affordable skincare brands around and this latest release just cements it in place for me. Affordable, readily available and with visible results this cream is perfect for anyone who's looking for something to give their skin that glow without clogging pores or weighing it down. I for one am especially going to enjoy this in the summer when I want that healthy glow to my skin without having to use more make up than necessary to achieve it.

Review: Garnier Moisture Bomb Day Cream

This month I haven't really reviewed a lot of products but this is one product I felt I needed to review. When this range was first released I was dubious about how the extra moisture in the range would react with my skin. The night cream was a disappointment but the sheet mask and the day cream have worked wonders.

The Moisture Bomb Range is designed to add and retain moisture for those with dry to dehydrated skin. It contains Pomergranate Extract and Hyaluronic Acid which work to lock in moisture and keep skin looking hydrated and plump throughout the day. If you have combination or oily skin I'd stay away from this as it'll only create more oil in the skin and make you look shinier than more.

My friend gifted this to me as it wasn't working for her skin and my current serum wasn't working for me. And I really like this. It sank into my skin quickly and left it looking hydrated and plump. It also smoothed out my skin and created a good base for my make up. Sometimes with hydrating products foundation and other base products can ball up on the skin and flake away. This however doesn't do that and makes foundation apply easier to the skin. Definitely a must have in my morning routine.

Overall I really like this as a day to day serum. It keeps my skin looking and feeling hydrated all day long which overall helps the look of my make up. It is suitable for people with sensitive skin and because it's based purely on hydrating shouldn't cause any adverse reactions. It also contains UVA/UVB protection that works in conjunction with the hydrating properties. I would suggest wearing a seperate SPF as well to make sure skin is completely protected.

When it comes to brands I'm not a one brand does all person. I have a whole range of brands that I love and whilst they're mismatched, they work for me. However when it comes to one particular brand I find myself buying more and more products from them. That brand is Garnier and today I'm sharing with you my Top 5 Products from them.

Ultimate Blends Restoring Body Lotion: When it comes to body lotions this is one of the best on the high street. This is aimed at dry skin and it's thick but not greasy and actually eases any dry skin issues. It applies evenly and doesn't make everything sticky. Not only does it moisturise the skin it also soothes skin and smoothes away any dry patches. It comes in a pump bottle which makes it a lot easier to apply and you don't have to worry about spilling it on the floor or the bed. A full review can be found here.

Ultimate Blends The Sleek Restorer Hair Mask: When it comes to hair masks there has never been one that works as well as this one has. It contains a mixture of cocoa butter and coconut oil that helps to smooth away frizz and flyaways. Slathered from mid lengths to ends and left on for five to ten minutes this washes away to give hair a smooth, sleek finish. When it comes to styling frizz prone hair this will become your best friend. Sheet Masks are a big thing at the moment and most budget brands have either no sheet mask to their name or really bad sheet masks. This mask is infused with hyaluronic acid and pomegranate and promises to provide a week's worth of hydration in one thirty minute wear. And boy does it work. After one use my skin felt smoother, softer and definitely well hydrated. It didn't cause any problems for me with occasionally sensitive skin and my friends with oily skintypes have said it works well for them as well. And the best bit about it. It doesn't break the bank. Miracle Wake Me Up Cream: One of my favourite products from Garnier comes from their Miracle Cream Range. Their Wake Me Up Cream is one of the most unique day moisturisers I've ever tried. Enriched with rice proteins, soya extract and a skin loving complex that awakens skin, this not only alleviates any signs of tiredness but also softens, soothes and helps combat signs of ageing. A little bit too thick to be worn under make up, this is the perfect cream to slather on, on no make up days or even after you've taken your make up off. A full review of it can be found here.

Miracle Sleeping Cream: This is my all time favourite product from Garnier. I've gone through pointless pots of this and will definitely go through more in the future. This is a very thick, nourishing cream that works overnight to help combat signs of fatigue and ageing. It softens skin and smooths away any fine lines, even helping diminish signs of dark circles and redness. It's perfect for putting on before an early start or at the end of a late night. Review: Garnier Moisture Bomb Tissue Mask

Sheet Masks have become a big thing this year with a lot of higher end brands releasing their own versions yet the high street was severely lacking. That was until Garnier released their Moisture Bomb Tissue Mask.

Each packet contains one tissue mask that is drenched in serum. The serum contains a mixture of Hyaluronic Acid and Pomegranate Extract and is perfect for people with dry to dehydrated skin. It doesn't mean you can't use it if you don't have those skin types but is a lot more effective on people with those particular skin types. It's a boost of hydration for the skin that's effects can last as long as a week.

The mask is a very thin tissue material that wraps itself to the skin and doesn't budge when it's on the skin. It has a clear sheet over the top of the tissue that you remove once it's applied. It helps keeps a much of the serum on mask itself so that you get the best results possible. Unlike a lot of sheet masks these don't have ill fitting holes cut out of them and actually sit where they're supposed to on the face. It's much more of a pleasurable experience wearing these masks compared to other sheet masks on the high street.

Once this masks comes off skin will look bouncy, soft and hydrated. Due to the Hyaluronic Acid it'll look plumper and won't feel so dry or textured. People with oily skin should definitely use these with caution as even though skin still needs moisture, it may not mean that it'll need that much moisture. These are also suitable for sensitive skin and don't contain any ingredients that are known to create break outs. And the best bit about these masks is that they only cost £1.49 full price but can always be found at save a 1/3 in either Boots or Superdrug.
