25 Day’s Of Beauty: Day Two

Welcome back to Day Two of 25 Day’s Of Beauty where I unbox and share with you what I receive each day in my Marks And Spencer Beauty Calender.

In today’s box I received a travel sized tube of Eyeko’s Lash Alert Mascara. A fiver based mascara that claims to give lashes their most defined look. With a caffeine based formula, this mascara claims to give you a double dose of volume and length whilst also using the Korean style of tubing to make it easier to remove.

I don’t like Eyeko mascaras, whenever I’ve received them in previous Beauty Calenders, they’ve always been dry and flaky. Plus fibres and me don’t get on, they tend to drop down and ruin the rest of my make up. And even when I opened this mascara this morning it seemed very dry and flaky, the brush was in fact only partially covered with product. Considering how strong this calendar started yesterday, I find this day to be a little bit disappointing and somewhat repetitive.

Marks And Spencer Beauty Advent Calender Day Four

Welcome back to Day Three in my 25 Days of Beauty Series where I show you what I get in my Marks and Spencers Advent Calender.

In today's box I recieved the Eyeko Lash Alert Mascara. I was a little dubious when I opened this as I really didn't like the Eyeko offering from last year but I was willing to give it a go. It has an extremely curved bristle brush that looks to hold just the right amount of product.

I was pleasently surprised when I tried it out this morning. I had a feeling I was going to like this as I am a big fan of bristle brushes but I didn't expect to like it as much as I did. It gave my lashes big volume and definition, didn't overload them with product and didn't droop or drop throughout the day. The only thing that annoyed me was how fiddly it was to apply but I think that all comes down to the fact that it's a miniature and you'd get a lot more control with the full size product.

Marks And Spencer Beauty Advent Calender Day Eight

Welcome back to Day Eight in my 25 Days of Beauty Series where I show you what I get in my Marks and Spencers Advent Calender.

In today's box I recieved a deluxe sample size of the Eyeko Black Magic Mascara. It has a curved brush that claims to lift, curl and volumise lashes. The formula whilst not waterproof is supposed to be smudge proof and the curl of your lashes is supposed to last for twelve hours. The formula is also enriched with Keratin and Shea Butter to nourish and strengthen lashes as you wear it.

I tried this today as part of my make up and I can't say I was blown away. The brush didn't seem to hold a lot of product and the curved brush didn't do a lot in terms of lifting, curling or volumising my lashes. I found I had to go in with two coats to give my lashes any definition and actually made them clump together ever so slightly. If I'm honest, I don't know if I didn't get on with this mascara because I'm in the midst of the cold and just wasn't feeling it or because it just didn't work. I may give this another go tomorrow, keep your eyes peeled for my full opinion of this product either here or on my social media.

Mark's And Spencer Beauty Advent Calender Day Six

Welcome Back to Day Six of my Mark's and Spencer Beauty Calender Unboxing.

In today's box you get a deluxe sample size of the Eyeko Skinny Liquid Liner. This liner is one of Eyeko's best selling liners and has a nib that helps create either thin defined lines or thicker cat flicks. It also has a long lasting formula so it won't smudge, run or fade.

First Impressions: I'm not a big fan of liquid liner purely because I can't do it. However the look of the nib of this liner makes me believe I could actually do my eye liner and not look truly horrendous. I'll let you know how I get on with it if I remember.
