25 Day’s Of Beauty: Day Eight

Welcome back to Day Eight of 25 Day’s Of Beauty.

In today’s box I received a travel size tube of Formula Absolute Ultimate Sleep Cream. This is another one of those night creams that claims to work overnight as you sleep to rehydrate, plump and fight the signs of ageing.

We’re not starting the second week of this calendar well. Again this is a product that has been seen in previous years and whilst I understand they want to promote their own beauty brand, this could have easily been replaced by another product, especially since there has already been a Formula Absolute product in the Calender. A nice enough product but doesn’t work with my skin so this will just be sat in the box until my next donation/Declutter.

Marks And Spencer Beauty Advent Calendar Day Eight

Welcome back to Day Three in my 25 Days of Beauty Series where I show you what I get in my Marks and Spencers Advent Calender.

In today's box I recieved a full size bottle of Leighton Denny nail polish in the shade Be My Berry. It's a stunning red shade with a iridescent shimmer running throughout it. It's the perfect Christmas red and is possibly my favourite of the three nail polishes I've recieved since I started buying these calendars.

This is a gorgeous red. I've just brought a red glitter polish for Christmas and I'm kind of regretting now that I've seen this. What I like about it is that it's not a chunky glitter that's going to be a bitch to remove. It's more of a metallic shimmer that gives the look of being made up of tons of tiny pieces of glitter. The only thing I don't like about this polish is the brush. It's one of those horrid thin ones that takes forever to paint each nail and is guaranteed to create a mistake or two. I much prefer a thicker square brush but I will still give this polish a go as I can't resist how gorgeous it looks in the bottle.

Marks And Spencer Beauty Advent Calender Day Eight

Welcome back to Day Eight in my 25 Days of Beauty Series where I show you what I get in my Marks and Spencers Advent Calender.

In today's box I recieved a deluxe sample size of the Eyeko Black Magic Mascara. It has a curved brush that claims to lift, curl and volumise lashes. The formula whilst not waterproof is supposed to be smudge proof and the curl of your lashes is supposed to last for twelve hours. The formula is also enriched with Keratin and Shea Butter to nourish and strengthen lashes as you wear it.

I tried this today as part of my make up and I can't say I was blown away. The brush didn't seem to hold a lot of product and the curved brush didn't do a lot in terms of lifting, curling or volumising my lashes. I found I had to go in with two coats to give my lashes any definition and actually made them clump together ever so slightly. If I'm honest, I don't know if I didn't get on with this mascara because I'm in the midst of the cold and just wasn't feeling it or because it just didn't work. I may give this another go tomorrow, keep your eyes peeled for my full opinion of this product either here or on my social media.

Mark's And Spencer Beauty Advent Calender Day Eight

Welcome back to Day Eight of my Mark's and Spencer Beauty Advent Calender Unboxing.

Today's box is very exciting and holds the one product I've been looking forward to receiving. It's the Alpha H Liquid Gold with Glycolic Acid. This is a resurfacing treatment that helps increase the texture of skin, moisture levels and the appearence of wrinkles or fine lines. This can be applied with a cotton pad and it's ingredients are so good it is considered a toner, serum and moisturiser all in one. Plus it contains Glycolic Acid which is one of my favourite skincare ingredients.

First Impressions: This is definitely going to be used as part of my evening skincare routine tonight. I usually get on really well with products that contain Glycolic Acid so I'm pretty sure this won't cause any adverse reactions with my skin. If this works as well as I hope it does then this is another expensive skincare item I'm going to have in my routine but if the results are as good as they say it'll be well worth it.

Marks And Spencers Beauty Advent Calender Day Eight

Welcome back to Day Eight in my 24 Days of Beauty Series where I show you what I get in my Marks and Spencers Advent Calender.

In today's box I recieved the Pure Super Grape Day Cream. It's a part of one of Marks and Spencers own brand skincare ranges. As I've never heard of this brand before I looked it up on the Marks and Spencers website where it says that this is an anti ageing skincare product that contains a complex of echinacea, peptides and resveratol to help in improve skins radiance.

Out of everything I've recieved so far this is one I am definitely not going to be giving a go. I'm extremely picky when it comes to my skincare and am set in a routine which works for my skin. I don't want to put anything on my face that will disrupt it or cause any issues. It also smells horrible and I just can't see myself enjoying this when it smells so bad.

I'll see you all tomorrow for Day Nine.
