Review: Collection Make Up Fixing Mist

Something some high street brands are missing is a good setting mist. Maybelline have released a brilliant one but others available are a little lack lustre. So when Collection released their new Primed and Ready Make Up Fixing Spray I was intrigued.

This claims to have a lightweight mist that will help prolong the wear of make up and leaves skin with a natural matte finish. And boy does it work. It's a very fine mist that sprays evenly and doesn't just spurt out against skin. Instead of leaving skin feeling drenched, it leaves skin feeling refreshed and still soft and hydrated to the touch. It doesn't disrupt make up and you don't have to worry about any of those awkward mascara smudges that some setting mists cause.

When it comes to prolonging the wear of make up, it does it very well. It's been very hot and humid over here lately and this has been my saving grace. It holds make up in place and gives everything a soft matte look which is perfect for the weather. A dewy glow is always nice but right now it looks more sweaty mess than healthy glow. It doesn't absorb oil but does stop skin from looking shinier than it feels or should be. It's finish doesn't leave skin looking powdery or cakey, even with powder products underneath or over top. And if you have over powdered or your foundation is a bit cakey looking then this will even it all out and make it look more natural and skinlike.

This is a brilliant new release from Collection. It doesn't break the bank, works wonders on the skin and is suitable for all skin types. It's packaging whilst minimal makes it look far more expensive than it's £5.99 price tag. If you're looking for a new make up setting spray/fixing mist I highly recommend you check this one out. I haven't reached for my Maybelline SuperStay Setting Spray since I purchased this and that was a Holy Grail Product for me.
