Christmas GRWM

I'm back! I apologise to anyone who's been waiting on posts from me for the last couple of weeks. Work and life has been hectic and I only really managed to get my 25 Day's Of Beauty Posts done each day. And once things calmed down towards the end of last week I decided to take some time off to enjoy the time spent with my family over the festive period. However I'm back now and today I'm showing you the look I did for Christmas Eve at work this year.

Prime: For primer I went in with a combination of primers that I got from my Marks and Spencer The first is the Autogrph Hydrating Confidence Boost Primer, it's ultra lightweight and hydrating which I placed down the centre of my face to give it a moisture boost. The second is the Pur Correcting Primer. This adds a glow to the skin so I placed it anywhere where I wanted a little bit of a glow. The combination of the two gave my skin a healthy glow whilst looking fresh and hydrated.

Colour Correcting: I had a couple of little breakouts that were quite angry looking so I went in with the Collection Lasting Perfection Colour Correcting Concealer in Green to reduce the appearence of the redness surronding them. I then popped a little bit of the same concealer but in Lemon under my eyes to lessen the look of my dark circles. Both of them I blended them in with my finger as I find they blend better than with a brush or a sponge. Once they're blended in it's time to go in with foundation.

Foundation: I wanted my base to look as flawless as possible so I went in with my Loreal Infallible Total Cover Foundation. This is one of the highest coverage foundations I own and I love how flawless it makes my skin look. A little goes a long way and it blends out easily with either a sponge or a brush.

Concealer: For concealer I went in with my Maybelline The Eraser Eye Concealer to cover where I put the corrector and blended it out with a sponge. Then I took a little bit of my Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer and covered any redness that still showed through the foundation and added a bit more to my forehead as foundation just seems to disappear from there as soon as I've applied it. Again I blended it out with my sponge before setting it all with powder.

Powder: And to set everything into place I went in with my MUA Transparent Pressed Setting Powder. It's lighter than most pressed powders and doesn't crease under the eyes either. I use a Real Techniques Setting Brush to set under my eyes then go in with a B Powder Brush to set the rest of my face.

Brows: I don't do a lot to my brows but wanted them to look a little tidier than normal. So I went in with a little bit of Benefit's Gimme Brow to add a hint of colour whilst keeping them at bay.

Mascara: I wanted my lashes to look big, full and defined but not clumpy or overloaded with product. But I also wanted them to last all day long as well. So oncw I'd curled my lashes I went in with the Maybelline Lash Sensational Lash Primer. It not only help lengthen the wear and look of my mascara but also nourishes my lashes as I wear it. Once I've coated them liberally in primer, I went in with the Loreal Lash Paradise Mascara. It's not one of my favourite mascaras but it does give my lashes, amazing lift and definition. This can be a little clumpy if too much is applied but just the right amount is enough to give lashes that wow factor and the combination of the two is a brilliant long lasting lash look.

Lips: As it's Christmas, I of course had to go with a red lip. Nothing beats it this time of the year. I started off with my favourite red lip liner from Primark and lined my lips, making sure to slightly overdraw my top lip so everything looked even. Once I was happy with how they looked, I went in with the Loreal and Balmain Lipstick in Domination. This is my latest red lipstick to join the collection. Every year I add a new red to my collection and this year Domination was the shade that called my name. It's matte but comfortable to wear, doesn't transfer and doesn't dry lips out as you wear it. Once everything is in order, I take a cotton bud to clean any edges I need to tidy up and then I'm all done.

Setting Spray: I wanted this look to last my entire shift at work so I set it in place with a setting spray as well. Normally when I wear the Total Cover Foundation I don't need to set everything in place with a spray but I wanted to make doubly sure that everything would still be there after six/seven hours so I went in with a liberal spraying of the Collection Primed and Ready Make Up Fixing Mist. This leaves behind a soft matte finish that still lets skin breathe and stops everything from looking powdery or too much. And once I'd doused myself off it was time for a quick selfie before work.
